Dr. Tonja C. Williams

Dr. Tonja C. Williams is a seasoned healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience and currently serves as Director of Operations at Halifax Health/UF Health Medical Center of Deltona. Since moving to Deltona more than eight years ago, she has been instrumental in developing the city’s first hospital, serving as the clinical lead in designing patient care areas and helping drive the hospital’s service expansion and increased local utilization.

Dr. Williams holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Eastern Kentucky University, where she also teaches in the graduate nursing program. Her broad leadership background includes roles in Emergency and Intensive Care Units, Quality and Infection Control, and as a former CEO of a long-term acute care hospital. She has contributed at both state and national levels through the Kentucky Hospital Association and the American Hospital Association.

​Beyond healthcare, Dr. Williams is a passionate community advocate. She serves as Secretary of the Rotary Club of DeBary, Deltona, and Orange City, engages with area Chambers of Commerce, and is a founding leader of the Daytona Biker Church. Her commitment to both clinical excellence and community well-being makes her a driving force in advancing regional healthcare.
