Joseph Rodríguez

Joseph Rodriguez was born in Panama City, Panama, and raised in a military family, which instilled in him a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and a leadership style grounded in empathy, adaptability, and respect. He earned a B.S. in Radiation Therapy, Technology, and Physics from Wayne State University and is currently pursuing an MBA in Healthcare Management, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning.

For 27 years, Joseph has dedicated his career to oncology medicine, a calling shaped by exceptional mentors and patients alike. He serves at AdventHealth, where the mission of whole-person care—nurturing body, mind, and spirit—guides his compassionate approach to patient care and operational excellence. Joseph contributes to this mission through roles on the AdventHealth Radiation Safety Committee, Radiation Oncology Governance Committee, the AH DeLand Foundation Board, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida.

​Outside work, Joseph finds balance and inspiration in nature and sport—enjoying hiking, fishing, and competitive shooting. His passion for travel and exploring new cultures continues to enrich his worldview and personal connections. At the core of his life is family. Joseph and his wife have shared 31 years together, raising two children. Their daughter, a Johnson & Wales graduate, is a chef at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Their son, a recent Western Carolina University graduate, is preparing to inspire others as a high school history teacher.
